Code §20-17-102 (surviving spouse, then adult children, then parents, then siblings) — must sign the cremation authorization before cremation proceeds.
Scattering. Arkansas rules require cremated remains to be reduced to a specified particle size before scattering. Scattering on private land requires the owner's permission; if no one claims or gives instructions for the remains within 90 days, the funeral director may lawfully dispose of them (Ark. Code §20-17-102).
